    First Event: Fire!!

This past week, we had the privilege of bringing a little chemistry magic to the students at Peters Canyon Elementary. With the guidance of Mrs. Morgan and the support of the school staff, we hosted a hands-on science demonstration focused on one of the most visually captivating experiments: flame tests.

The highlight of the day was the way the students leaned in, asked questions, and began to see chemistry not as a subject, but as a way to understand the world around them.

A special and heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Morgan for making this experience possible. Her openness to creative learning opportunities and her commitment to enriching her students’ understanding is what made this event more than just an experiment—it made it a memory.

To the students at Peters Canyon: keep asking questions, keep being amazed, and never stop exploring. Science is full of wonder, and this was just one spark of it.

Our first Formula Futures meeting was a great success, with a fantastic turnout that exceeded our expectations. We introduced our dedicated board members, shared our vision for the organization, and offered a sneak peek of the exciting projects and events planned for the coming semester. We’re grateful for everyone’s support and enthusiasm, and we can’t wait to keep the momentum going when we reconvene next semester. Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you again for being a part of this journey!

Our high school F1 club meets for the very first time on November 11, 2023 in Ms. Shekarchi’s classroom, and the excitement in the air is palpable. We gather around a projector that streams the latest Grand Prix footage, analyzing every corner and chicane. A few of us already have favorite teams—waving their caps or wearing the colors with pride—while others are watching F1 for the very first time.

During these meetings, we immerse ourselves in the thrill of competitive racing. We discuss the dramas unfolding on the track, debate tire strategies, and compare driver lineups. Each clip we watch sparks a fresh round of conversation—sometimes serious, sometimes playful—yet always grounded in our shared love of motorsport.

Ms. Shekarchi’s room feels like a mini grandstand. Students from different grades, and with varying levels of F1 knowledge, come together to celebrate the world’s fastest sport. By the end of each session, it’s clear that the roar of engines and the energy of last-lap battles unite us in a way no other lunchtime activity can.

As we look forward to future meetings, our hope is simple: to create a space where anyone—even the newest fan—can learn, laugh, and connect over the astonishing spectacle that is Formula 1. Whether you’re cheering on a top team or just curious about the buzz, you’re welcome to join the conversation. Together, we keep the spirit of racing alive in our little corner of campus.
